OCHL has appointed Stuart Heggie as Group Operations Director to head up the synchronisation of its overseas operations.
Stuart, 46, will initially focus primarily on the group's expansion plans in the North Sea and South East Asian markets.
With more than 20 years' experience in the offshore industry, Stuart has worked for both contractors and operators. He joins OCHL direct from North Sea operator Talisman Energy (UK) where he was at the forefront of North Sea decommissioning operations, spending almost two years as the firm's Decommissioning Developments Engineer. Prior to that, he worked for Wood Group within the decommissioning team, overseeing the company's UK decommissioning activities.
Having also spent a number of years in both the onshore and offshore modular construction sector, Stuart played an instrumental role in the early successes of Consafe Engineering and US-based MD Totco, leading teams in the successful construction and integration of worldwide modular projects located in Japan, Norway, North Sea, Holland, West Africa, France, USA and Portugal.
