Leading Middle Eastern offshore solutions business OEG Middle East, part of OEG Group, has signed a second long-term agreement with Gulf Industrial Gases Sole Proprietorship LLC (GIGC), for the supply of its intermodal cryogenic tanks.

This latest agreement strengthens the existing relationship between OEG Middle East and GIGC, with the requirement for five additional 20ft ISO cryogenic tanks bringing the total number supplied to thirty-five. Intermodal cryogenic tanks enable the safe storage and transport of Class 2 refrigerated gases. Highly versatile, they are manufactured using robust materials and have built-in safety features to minimise heat transfer and prevent gas escape, while double-walled construction and insulation accommodates the low temperatures associated with cryogenic liquids. The tanks high 22 bar pressure allows them to carry a wide range of liquified natural gas (LNG) products such as nitrogen, argon, oxygen, CO₂, N20, LNG and ethylene.

Chris Kleinhans, Regional Director for OEG Middle East, said: “We’re delighted to expand our relationship with Gulf Industrial Gases and strengthen our commitment to the Middle East market. OEG’s ISO cryogenic tanks are built to the latest stringent industry standards, offering a safe and efficient sustainable energy storage solution for our customers. By enabling intermodal transport for industrial gases, we are helping them to reduce shipping costs and the associated carbon footprint. Our growing success in this space is directly attributable to the experience of our local business development and after-market support teams, who are bringing these solutions to the Middle East market and providing expert operational support that meets the high expectations of our customers.

With a global network of key locations and 50 years’ of rental, sale and service experience, OEG Group continues to set the standard for innovative solutions to support the global energy sector.
