OEG Offshore Limited Trinidad branch (OEG) recently achieved STOW certification after assessment of their Health, Safety and Environment Management system for the rental of offshore cargo-carrying units (CCUs).
STOW is the acronym for the 'Safe to Work' certification programme for contractors' HSE management systems.
Kevin Saroop, Regional Director said, “Achieving STOW certification signifies our commitment to HSE. We believe by the continued improvement we shall maintain overall safe operations within every aspect of our company reiterating our commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment. This achievement aligns us with the minimum HSE requirements to operate in the local energy industry of Trinidad & Tobago.
“It is crucial that we maintain our commitment to safety, keeping in mind our responsibility to our employees, customers and suppliers and of course the environment. I would like to thank our management and staff for their support who assisted with the implementation of STOW. A special thanks to our Group QHSE Manager, Samantha Rattray, QHSE Coordinator (Trinidad) Marvin Brereton and Commercial Manager (Trinidad) Jade Baboolal.
