OEG Offshore (OEG) – which specialises in the design, build and rental of specialist A60 cabins and cargo-carrying units for the offshore oil and gas sector, has secured sales orders for offshore workshops worth more than 500,000 GBP (650,000 USD) from leading oilfield services contractors.

A mix of contractors in the United Kingdom, Europe and the U.S.A. including a branch of Halliburton has ordered a series of new build DNV 2.7-1 workshops, alongside subsea contractors with orders including upgrade and modification work on A60 safe area units originally supplied by OEG Offshore.

Several DNV 2.7-1 certified rigging lofts and custom workshops will be delivered before the end of the year, fully fitted with air conditioning, fire and gas detection systems, power & lighting, workbenches, shelving and tool racks to be utilised on current global oil and gas developments.  Integration of client free-issue equipment will also be completed on certain workshops.

David Hunter, UK Operations Director, OEG states, “OEG continue to deliver high-quality workshops designed and manufactured to DNV 2.7-1 that can also meet the rigorous requirements of NORSOK and DNV 2.7-2.  From standard rental units to high-specification and bespoke solutions, our design and operation teams are experts at the configuration and delivery of these workshops and stores.  Not only is OEG the supplier of choice to our established network of customers, but new orders from niche energy sectors are also increasing, allowing OEG the opportunity to deliver their expertise to new areas.

In addition to sales, a long-term rental contract for standard 15ft workshop containers has recently been delivered to a new customer for maintenance activities in the North Sea with additional cargo baskets and mini containers.
