OEG Energy Group (‘OEG’) has taken delivery of its first Blue Manta units in Brazil enabling the business to better support customers in the region with an expanded range of packaged rental solutions for completions and workover operations.

The Blue Manta completion kits can include spooling units ranging from 30 inches to 96 inches, designed and manufactured to DNV 2.7-1 standards, along with sheave wheels, spreader beams and spares to deploy control line, gauge lines and ESP lines. The completion units and services will provide OEG’s key customers in Latin America with access to high quality equipment with shorter lead times and expert technical support.

Ramon Souza, General Manager for OEG Brazil said: “With Blue Manta units now available to customers in the region on a rental basis, OEG is bringing an enhanced level of service and support for completion activities. Building up a local fleet of Blue Manta spooler units is a significant investment for our business that reinforces our commitment to the region.
“With estimated spend on drilling and completion activities forecast to increase between 2024 and 2030, the Brazil market offers significant growth potential for OEG’s mission-critical services and solutions. With the Blue Manta offering we bring a broader and more diversified products and services package to customers in the region, while supporting highly complex and challenging ultra-deepwater drilling operations with specialized equipment and highly skilled personnel.”
Mark Ritchie, General Manager for OEG Blue Manta, added: “We are expanding the Blue Manta offering globally, to meet growing demand from customers. Brazil is the latest region to benefit from the commercial benefits of our completion solutions, along with the technical support and expertise that an established partner brings.”
