OEG Offshore's Aberdeen facility has delivered two 20ft specialist workshop modules to a U.S.- based petroleum solutions provider for a long term rental contract.
The first DNV 2.7-1 A60 technician workshop module (ATEX Cat 3 compliant) will be utilized in a zone 1 area to support subsea production activities on the Bahr Essalam project, offshore Libya.
The sister A60 unit will be delivered to the Tamar natural gas field in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Israel. It will join an existing blast rated laboratory unit on the Tamar production platform completed by OEG in 2015.
The specialist workshops are fitted with the very latest in air conditioning and workspace equipment and designed to meet the harsh offshore environments associated with production and subsea installations.
