Containental Offshore has secured a contract worth over £500,000 to deliver bespoke units for a major ROV build programme in the United States.

Containental won the contract with Oceaneering to design and deliver 65 tool room containers to Morgan City, Louisiana, where the company designs and builds its ROV fleet.

Measuring 8ft x 8ft, the tool room units have been specially designed by Containental to provide maximum volume capacity. Built to DNV 2.7-1 standard, the containers comply with all international standards and provide the client with the flexibility to relocate the units anywhere worldwide.

The contract was won and delivered in conjunction with Containental's representative office in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is the first time that Containental has worked with Oceaneering in Morgan City, a division of Oceaneering International Inc that provides subsea products, inspection services, and Mobile Offshore Production Systems (MOPS). The company will utilise the units alongside its brand new ROV fleet at various locations across the globe.

OCHL Chief Executive, John Heiton, said: “We are very pleased to be awarded this contract by Oceaneering – a new addition to our expanding international client base. Our aim to gain recognition as an international company is reflected in our ability to deliver ad-hoc specialist units, bespoke design containers and the supply, rental, and management of large-scale, long term contracts. Our operations in other key oil and gas locations such as Canada, USA, Singapore and Australia are helping us to communicate our enhanced offering to the industry and demonstrate that we are able to support clients' businesses on a global basis.”
