Challenge
To deliver a 'fast track' Floating Production and Offloading System (Early Production System) for Hurricane Energy for installation on the Rona Ridge (Lancaster Development), in the West of Shetland region of the UK Continental Shelf.
Solution
Develop a suitable fully compliant single lift modular solution to;
- contain the ESP VSDs, switchgear and ancillary equipment to be installed on the Aoka Mizu FPSO
- provide a fast-track build solution to align with the conversion of the Aoka Mizu FPSO
Contract Award
OEG Offshore was awarded a contract from Bluewater Energy Services B.V., owner of the Aoka Mizu FPSO. The contract was for the design, engineering, manufacture and equipment integration for a high specification, single lift 15m x 5m x 4m J30 fire-rated / blast-rated Zone 2 Variable Speed Drive (VSD) module.
