OEG Offshore, leading providers of DNV 2.7-1 offshore containers and specialist modules, recently provided two Aberdeen City schools with containers to help with their urgent storage needs as they prepare to relocate to a new purpose built Centre of Excellence campus.

The new school – which replaces Woodlands and Hazelwood schools – will cater for up to 150 children with severe and complex support needs aged between three and 18 years.

Elaine Thomson, Head Teacher at Hazelwood said, “OEG Offshore has kindly loaned both Hazelwood and Woodlands containers to help us with our big move. We have to say a huge thank you to the team at OEG for offering their assistance and making it happen and also to our own PSA, Gill Guthrie for starting the process!”

DNV 2.7-1 containers would normally be utilised offshore for the safe and secure transportation of a wide range of oilfield rated equipment and supplies.

Ewan McLean, Service Manager, OEG Offshore said, “We are confident that the staff and children at Hazelwood and Woodlands will benefit greatly from the temporary containers provided. This gives staff flexibility to store non critical items without causing disruption to the children during their day to day learning. With the busy move ahead, OEG Offshore wishes the school communities a smooth transition to their great new campus at Howes Road.”
